(93–95 points) Échantillon en fût. Avec ses riches arômes de chocolat et de café noir, ce vin présente une texture puissante et dense, mais il est équilibré par de succulentes notes de mûre. Sa richesse est considérable, ce qui lui confère une belle concentration et un bon potentiel de garde.

Arômes de baies sucrées, de groseilles fraîches et de fleurs, comme l'hibiscus. Un vin corsé, très fruité et riche. Des tanins souples et légèrement moelleux. Une finale savoureuse. Beaucoup de fruits mûrs, mais bien soutenus par les tanins. À boire après 2023.

William Kelley, (Vintage 2019)

The 2019 Clos Badon Thunevin has turned out very nicely, offering up aromas of dark berries and cherries framed by a deft application of new oak. Full-bodied, broad and lavishly textural, it's velvety, fleshy and seamless, with an ample core of succulent fruit and ripe, melting tannins, concluding with a vanillin-inflected finish.
