When Florens-Louis Heidsieck founded Piper-Heidsieck in 1785, his ambition was clear: to craft champagnes that radiate joy, elegance, and audacity. For more than two centuries, this vision has guided the House. Today, driven by the creative energy of Émilien Boutillat, it is expressed with the same high standards: rigorously crafting wines that are luminous, full of energy, and bring a smile to the face.

Émilien Boutillat, Cellar Master

A key figure in the House's renewal, Émilien Boutillat combines a solid Champagne heritage with an international outlook shaped by his experiences around the world. An expert in both viticulture and oenology, he brings a new dynamic to the House, boldly revisiting its heritage.

By managing the vineyards using innovative practices, he works to produce exceptional wines while reducing their environmental impact. This approach has led the House to obtain B Corp certification, a strong symbol of its commitment to sustainable viticulture.

Giving meaning to each of his actions is essential for this passionate man, who also feeds his creativity on stage, as part of an improvisation troupe in Reims, addressing the contemporary challenges facing Champagne.
