Production notes

100% Chardonnay. This cuvée benefits from the stricter "Bourgogne Côte d'Or" regional appellation, sourced exclusively from selected vineyard blocks located at the bottom of the Corton hillside in Ladoix-Serrigny. The vines thrive on a limestone subsoil composed of silt, clay, and marl on the upper parts. Following meticulous hand-harvesting, the grapes undergo direct pressing and traditional cold settling. Alcoholic fermentation is conducted under strict temperature controls (between 15 and 18°C). The wine is then traditionally aged for 10 to 12 months in 400-liter French oak barrels on its fine lees, using a very limited amount of new oak to prioritize the pure expression of the terroir.

Tasting notes

Pale gold color with bright green, crystalline highlights, displaying beautiful clarity in the glass. The highly elegant nose opens with fresh, distinctive aromas of anise, fennel, and lemon zest, complemented by subtle hints of green apple and a wet chalky note. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, delivering an initially firm texture that opens up generously across the mouthfeel. The structure is driving and direct, sustained by a mouth-watering, rutilant acidity that brings a great deal of energy. The finish is long, clean, and juicy, lingering with excellent mineral tension and a remarkable salty purity. A beautifully balanced Côte d'Or Chardonnay to be enjoyed now and over the next 4 to 6 years (2026-2032).
